Golden Wedding

Good evening blogger friends...

A big Hi to all my blogger friends out there. I know I've been missing for some time, but thanks for staying with me.
Sometimes life with all it's chaos just gets in the way of 'Me time'. I've been so busy generally, but even when I wasn't I didn't feel like crafting.

Last weekend was my Mum & Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary. I made them a card because my Mum would have been so disappointed not to have received a home made card.
I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed crafting and even better still the look on the recipient's face.

So hopefully I'm back. I've printed lots of Christmas papers off tonight and hope to make a start on some soon. So watch this space.

My card follows the CLP Challenge sketch and uses the ever so cute LOTV Wedding Couple. I think this has to be one of my favourite LOTV stamps...

I've coloured the image using distress markers and the papers are Raspberry Road - One Fine Day.
The papers have been stitched with a machine which I haven't done for ages. Had to look on Youtube to check how to thread it LOL.
The butterflies and flowers have also been distressed using a sanding block and the papers have been distressed with Vintage Photo.

Distress Markers:-

Skin : Tattered Rose & Aged Mahogany
Hair: Antique Linen & Vintage Photo
Dress: Antique Linen
Morning Suit : Pumice Stone & Black Soot
Flowers : Aged Mahogany, Forest Moss & Peeled Paint

Tools Used :
Cheery Lynn Small Exotic Butterflies
Marianne Designs Flower & Leaves LR0156
Doo Hickey Vintage Daisies & So Wrapped Lovely Heart
Nestablilities Floral Ovals.

I am entering this card into CLP Challenge # 51

Thanks for dropping by and your lovely comments. I've missed you.
I've been taking a peak at all your lovely creations but haven't had time to comment. I shall be popping by to leave you a comment in the next few days.

Big Hugs,
Janine.

Well hello there Janine. I have been wondering where you have got to and it is lovely to see you back. Your one step ahead of me anyway cos I haven't even thought of Christmas cards. Your wedding card is adorable and I have no doubt they will be thrilled with it. Hope to see you again soon.
Hugs Sharon. x
