Tilda with Winding Flowers

Good evening Blogger friends...

I have a card for you today which I've coloured with Distress Markers. I was lucky enough to get some for my Birthday a few weeks ago. Thanks Mum & Dad :-)

I've coloured a few images with them, I think this was the second. I've really been enjoying using them, although I have a lot to learn. I find it very relaxing and I can pretend I've got some artistic talent because I'm holding a paintbrush. lol.

Today's card is the lovely Tilda with Winding Flowers...

Sorry about the photos, but I just don't seem to be able to get the right settings. Any tips on what settings to have my camera on would be appreciated.

The little tag at the top has a discreet '50' on it. A lady doesn't always want to broadcast her age does she? My daughter is giving it to her boyfriend's Mum.

The papers are Raspberry Road Antebellum except for the inside of the card where I used Raspberry Road Always & Forever. They've been distressed with Vintage Photo ink.

The flowers are from WOC. I did try to make my own, but I wasn't happy with them. First I tried rolled roses and then I tried hand made roses using five petal flower punches. Spent loads of time faffing about only to throw them in the bin and grab some WOC ones.

I think the lace is also from WOC and I've died it with black tea to give it an antique look. Pearls and ribbon are from The Hobby House.

Here's a closer look at Tilda.

I positioned the little butterfly to make it look like it was flying out of her hand. The larger butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die.

I enjoyed making this card as I got to use lots of my new purchases I bought at the Whichcraft show recently.

Happy Times ...

Good evening blogger friends...

I thought I was never going to find the time to post this card today.

It seems all I've done today has been chores. How is it that my kids seem to leave ALL their washing until Friday night, which means my weekend is spent washing and ironing :-(
I'm sure there was nothing left in any of their wardrobes!

I have edited my photos in Photoscape this time. I have bumbled my way through and they seem to have turned out OK. It looks like there are a lot of features so I just need some time (lol) to explore it.

I have had this card made for my Dad for about a week but didn't dare post it because he checks on my blog from time to time.

The card I've made uses the cute Lili of the Valley image - Happy Times.
I decided to make it a monochrome card, which I've never done before, after seeing a gorgeous Tilda card done in monochrome on Delphine's blog

I'm really pleased with the result. See what you think...

I've followed the latest sketch over at CLP Challenges

The image has been coloured with the Copic E shades, so there were plenty to choose from. The papers are Nitwits Cottage Charm & cottage charm too and they've all been distressed with Walnut Stain.

The sentiment is also from LOTV , the clock is Tim Holtz Weathered Clock and the branch is a Marianne Creatable die, Garden Branch.

Here's my arty farty compilation..

I'm Still here :-)

Good evening blogger friends...

Just wanted to let you know that I'm still here.
I've been busy the last 2 weeks and not had much time to craft. I've had my parents over to stay for 10 days plus school holidays, so routine has been right out of the window. I did make a card for Father's day card for my Dad, but he looks at my blog so I can't post until Sunday.

My Mum, daughter and I went to the Stamp Magic show on Sunday and had a great girlie day out. Spent far too much. I only had a small wish list but came back having spent all my birthday money on lots of things I just couldn't resist :-)

So much to do and so little time.

Hope to see you all very soon.

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments I really do appreciate them.

Hugs,
Janine xx
