Divas by Design - With Love

Good morning blogging friends...

Well it's already half way through the week - I can't believe it, but that means it's time for another new challenge over at

and this weeks new challenge is all ready for those Valentine cards you've been making. The theme is

With Love

Now it can be anything to do with Love. It doesn't have to be a Valentine it could be Weddings or Anniversaries, anything to do with Love.

My card today has been made using Heart Key Marci from La La Land and I've used lots of new La La Land dies which I bought recently too. I really enjoyed making it and I hope my DH will like it when he receives it on Friday!

The design papers are Pion's 'Roses' and all the dies have been edged with vintage photo. On the lace I stuck little rhinestones to give it a bit more bling and the little hearts were leftovers from some die cuts which I coloured with Copics. The big red heart is a button I found in my stash and the roses are from The Hobby House.

Marci has been coloured with Copics:

Skin : E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21, E93, E20

Hello blogging friends....

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
The sun is shining here which makes a nice change from all that rain we've been having recently.

My card today is one of two which appeared in last months Papercraft Essentials and was showcased on the Wee Stamps facebook page yesterday. I was so excited to see my first cards published - Wow my minute of fame, lol!

The base of the card was cut with a Go Kreate Frilly #5 XXL die and covered with Nitwits 'Always and Forever' papers. I've used a mixture of Hobby House roses and WOC flowers teamed with some flat pearls and a pearl string.

The image has been coloured with Copics..

Anything Goes Challenge - Buttons, Pearls and Lace

Hello blogging friends...

Hope you had a lovely weekend and managed to get some crafting done.

I'm back today to show you the card I've created for the new challenge over at Anything Goes this fortnight it's...

Buttons, Pearls and Lace

My card features the lovely Drusilla from Tiddly Inks.

I tried to blend the oranges into the yellows, but I'm not sure that I really achieved it. Practice makes perfect so they say, so I shall try again another time, lol. The papers I've used are Prima 'Rondelle'. I'm really loving these Prima papers. They're new to me and I may just have to buy a few more :)

Drusilla has been coloured with copics:-

Skin : E000, E00, E21, E11, R11
Hair : E21, E25, E29
Dress : YR000, YR000, YR02, YR07  Y000, Y11, Y35, Y38

The edges of the image have been distressed with Memento Desert Sand and a small piece of lace added to the right hand side.

The little tag (Doo Hickey Wave) has been finished off with a seam binding ribbon and a clear flower button, which is a bit hard to see in the photo.
Other dies used on the card are DooHickey Dragonflies, Marianne Creatables Garden Branch and Cheery Lynn's Kiwi Doily. The doily punch is so pretty but it never seems to cut properly, even with greaseproof paper.

Hope you can join us for our new challenge. Have a pop on over to the Anything Goes blog for a little inspiration and see what the rest of the team have made.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :-

Bunny Zoe's - Wings
Eureka Stamps - Anything Goes
Tammy's Scrappin' Corner - Anything with Wings
Colour Me Creative - Brunettes
Crafty Calender - Things with Wings

Happy Crafting

Anything Goes DT - Add Some Metal

Good morning blogger friends...

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. The sun has been shining here, so let's hope that spring is definitely on its way.

I had a great day on Saturday. I travelled to The Craft Den in Sheffield for an altered mirror workshop with Hels Sheridan. The workshop was fantastic. I've not done any altered art before so it did take me out of my comfort zone, but was great fun. A few of the other DT members were there too;
Nikki, Tamara and Annette, so it was lovely to meet them. Annette had even travelled from Sweden!  I mustn't forget Lynne, the owner of The Craft Den and the Anything Goes Challenge blog who was so welcoming that we could have kept on chatting all evening.

Anyway onto this weeks challenge at Anything Goes and its
 'Add some metal'

This was the card I made Leonie for her 18th Birthday. She's mad about the Harry Potter books and films!

The images are by Tiddly Inks and are Wizard and Wizardette.
You get two wizards, one with glasses and one without. So Harry and Ron!

I got the idea from Alyce who has done a fantastic colouring video using Wizardette to show how to colour glowing objects. As soon as I saw it I new I had to see if Tiddly Inks did a wizard image so that I could do a Harry Potter theme. I even put on a little 'Hedwig' Metal charm and the telegram he delivers.

I've coloured them with Copics :

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21
Harry's Hair: E43, E44, E47, E49
Ron's Hair: YR000, YR02, YR04, E15
Hermione's Hair: E13, E15, E18
Scarf: Y11, R15, Y17 R22, R46, R59
Capes: W1, W3, W5, W7
Trousers: C1,C3, C5, C7
Wand Glow: YG00, YG05, YG23, YG67

They were just so fun to colour too and they're my first Tiddly Inks.

The papers are Prima Rondelle and have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool.
The flowers and leaves have all been made with dies and all the papers were edged with walnut stain.
The sentiment is from LOTV.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges...

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Distress, emboss or stitch
Dream Valley Challenges #54 - Happy Birthday
Lacy Sunshine Challenge - Anything Goes
2 Sisters Challenge - Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Charms
Sarah Hurley Challenges - Projects with Character

Thanks for dropping by.

Anything Goes DT - Mail It!

Good morning blogger friends....

Hope that you've had a lovely weekend and this weekend's a bank holiday so more time for crafting!

My Mum and Dad went home on Sunday after a 10 day stay. It was lovely to see them both looking so well and I'm missing my Ironing Fairy already (thanks Mum x). Sadly with some much snow and bad weather they didn't get to visit many places. Hopefully next time will be better.

I'm back with you this morning because we have a new challenge over at Anything Goes. This fortnight the challenge is 'Mail It!'. So we want to see letters, postcards, stamps or anything to do with mail.

My card uses a lovely image by Krista of Saturated Canary and she's called Pack Light.

I've made another shaped card using a Go Kreate die. The papers are by Prima. I bought 3 Prima pads at Harrogate from The Hobby House, and they're gorgeous. These are from the Nature Garden collection. The edges have been distressed with Walnut stain and stitched.

Pack Light has been coloured with Copics:

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R21
Hair: E50, E51, E97, E99, E59
Top: YR000, YR00, YR02
Skirt: G20, G21, G94, YG99
'Uggs': E41, E42, E43, E44
Top case: E30, E31, E33, E34, E35, E37
Bottom case: YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97
Camera: C1, C3, C5, C7

The Postcard stamp is Grunge Postcard by Lili of the Valley and the Pisa stamp is an old Hero Arts stamp from the International Tour De Luxe stamp box. I stamped the image and then sewed round it with no thread in the machine to get the perforations for the stamp. The flowers are rolled roses and the leaves are cut from Joy Craft Dies.
I'm loving my new Joy Craft dies, they just cut so well and first time!

Dies used:

Go Kreate Frilly #7 large
Joy Crafts : Floral Flourishes Branch with Leaves & Leaves
Marianne Creatables: English Rose & Leaves

Why not pop on over to the Anything Goes Challenge blog and have a look at some more inspiration from my lovely teamies.

Remember that you can get your Copic Ciao markers and lots of lovely goodies from Lynne at The Craft Den.

Divas by Design - Babies and Toddlers

Good morning everyone...

Sorry I've not posted for a while, but life is just a little hectic at the moment, what with work and kids activities.

Had a lovely day at the Harrogate show with my Mum on Saturday. We both spent far too much (he he). Bought lots of new dies, some lovely papers and pearls from Hobby Craft, some ribbon and only one sentiment stamp from LOTV. I forgot to take a photo before trying to be organised and putting it away. Leonie still thinks I put it away quickly to hide the evidence!

Anyway onto my post for today. I'm back with a card for the new Divas by Design Challenge which is 'Babies and Toddlers'. We're sponsored by the lovely Bunny Zoe's. I chose to use a really cute Mo Manning image. It's called Bye Bye. I bought her a while ago just because she's so cute, but haven't had the occasion to use her.

The papers are a very old freebie from Cardmaking & Papercraft. They're My Mind's Eye 'Quite Contrary' and have all been distressed with Walnut Stain. I've decorated the card using Flower and Leaf dies. Still loving that rolled daisy.

I have coloured Mo Manning Bye Bye in my usual Copics

Jeans: BG70, BG72, BG75
Hair: E21, E33, E35, E37, E59
Coat: G20, G21, G24
Bike: R81, R83, R85,  RV91, RV93, RV95,  C00, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7
Shoes: C00, C0, C1, R83

The highlights on the spots of the ladybird bag and the flowers in the grass have been done with a gellyroll pen.

Here's a close up of the image and the rolled flowers.

Why not pop on over to the Divas challenge site and have a look at some more inspiration from my lovely teamies.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafty sentiments - Flowers Galore
LEJ Designs Challenge - Add a flower/s
ABC Challenges - Bring on the Flowers
Creative Creations Challenges #6 - The Letter B (Bicycle)
613 Avenue Create #11 - Anything Goes

Thanks for dropping by and I very much appreciate any lovely comments which you may leave.

Janine xx

Felicity and Blair - Living Life!

Good morning everyone.

Hope you've had a lovely weekend and all you Mums out there had a great day on Sunday.

Just want to say a big Hello to my new followers. I really hope that you enjoy popping in and that you like what you see. Hopefully I may be able to  inspire a few people in the way that other bloggers do me.

Today I'm back with this fortnight's challenge over at Anything Goes. This time its 'Seeing Double'. So we want to see two of something, whether it be your images or embellishments.
Why not pop over and see some of the lovely creations from my fellow teamies.

I've used one of the lovely Uptown Girls stamps from Stamping Bella. I really enjoyed colouring them in. This is my one and only Uptown Girl stamp and I'm definitely itching to buy more. Saving my pennies though for the craft show at Harrogate this coming weekend. Mum and Dad are visiting from Thursday for 10 days so Mum and I will have a lovely girly day out at the show followed by a take-away and a glass of wine. What more could a girl want?

The papers are First Edition 'New Leaf' and they've been stitched and edged with Walnut stain.
This gorgeous image has been coloured in my usual Copics. I think this is the first time I've used the peach colours on a large area and am pleased with the result.

Copics used :-

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R11
Left dress: YR000, YR00, YR02, E70, E71, E74, E77
Cardigan: E40, E41, E42, E43
Right dress: BG70, BG71, BG75
Hair right: E21, E33, E35, E37, E59
Hair left: Y21, TR23, E33, E37

The flowers have all been hand rolled using various dies. I have to confess I treated myself to the Die-namics rolled daisy. I've seen Fleur use it a lot and just fell in love with it. It's even prettier in real life and gives a great 3D effect. The sentiment is LOTV 'Greetings Postmarks'

Dies used:

Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco F
Die-namics Mix and Match Banner, and Rolled Daisy
Marianne Creatables English Rose
Joy Crafts Vintage Flourishes Branch with Leaves

Why not pop on over to the Craft Den to have a look at what you may need for your next project. Lynne has lots of lovely goodies.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Paper Playtime #5 - Anything Goes
Avenue 613 - Anything Goes
That Craft Place - Anything Goes
Crafty Ribbons Challenge - Anything Goes with Ribbon

Happy Mother's Day...

Good afternoon and Happy Mother's Day to all you Mums out there.

Today I have my Mother's day card for my Mum to show you.

I chose a Lili of the Valley stamp for her. It's one of her favourite stamp companies. Their stand always   manages to lure us with its lovely stamps at the Harrogate Show lol.

This is Emma's Swing...

This is the first non square card I have ever made. I like this shape but it doesn't leave much space to put lots of embellishments.
The papers are yummy Pion Designs and have been machine stitched. They're a mix of Small Leaves and Pink Ornament. Definitely going to invest in some more of these, they're gorgeous.

Emma has been coloured with Copics in a soft pinky/purple.

Copics used:

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R21
Hair: E21, E33, E35, E37, E59
Cardigan and Shoes: RV91, RV93, RV95
Hat and Dress: RV0000, RV000, RV11
Swing: E70, E71, E74, E77, E41, E43, E44
Grass: G20, YG61, YG63

The rest of the card has been decorated with die cuts, which have been distressed with either sandpaper or Walnut stain

Die cuts used:

Go Kreate frilly #5
Memory Box small pinwheel
Marianne Designs English Rose, Fence and Flowers and Leaves
Doo Hickey Dragonfly, Hellebores and Cloud

I've really struggled taking photos, non of them show a true likeness. I must have take over 30 shots at various settings! If you have any hints and tips to get good photos I would be most greatful.
