Hobby House Inspiration - Love Trip

Good morning ...

It's almost the weekend, I hope you've got something nice planned. I'm off with my son to a swimming gala on Sunday so I'll probably be doing all my chores on Saturday :-(

I'm back today to show you a little Hobby House inspiration. Our challenge this month is to

Use Ribbon

I have used Wee stamps Love Trip.
The card has been made using a Whimsy die called Double Scallop Doily Die which I threaded the ribbon through. I got this cool idea from Dorinda who posted her tag on facebook. That got me thinking that I could use my die to make a circular card.

The image has been coloured with my usual copics.
When life slows down a bit (lol) I'm going to have another go with my distress inks. I love the soft effect of these but at the moment I don't get the same results and haven't got the time to throw away half coloured images.

Copics used:
Flowers : R81, R83, R85  YR21, YR23 RV91, RV93, RV95, RV99
Balloon : W3, W1, W0, W00  R85, R83, R81
Basket : E21, E23, E25, E29
Bugs : W00, W0, W1, W3, W5 RV000, R11, R22, R24, R27 C5, C7, C9
Sky and Clouds : C00, C0, C1, Blender, B000

Here's a picture of the lovely Hobby House ribbon bow. I've just treated myself to a Bow-It-All using some Christmas money and it's so much easier than wrapping it around your fingers to make the bow! Here I've made a double layered double bow.

That's all from me today. Have a lovely weekend.

Really pretty card Janine, love how you did that ribbon.
I'm going for distress ink lessons with Dawn (Divas DT) as I too love the soft effect but gave up trying!!

This is lovely Janine. I really must try some shaped cards - I am always really impressed with circular cards.
Love the cute image and that is a fabulous bow.
I really struggled with Distress Markers for about a year (I still have a lot to improve on) but I found you need a really good watercolour paper, and a brush which has fine and short bristle.
Have a lovey weekend.
Hugs Sharon. x
