Little Winged Friends - On Walk

Good Evening...

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. It definitely feels like spring is on the way now.

I've had a lovely week. My parents have been up to stay and it's always nice to see them. Work was nice and easy and the 'ironing fairy' had been everyday before I got home (thanks Mum xx). One more week then it's the Easter hols. Can't wait for the break. We're planning to do some work on the outside of the house if the weather is good. Nothing like a bit of spring cleaning.

Anyway onto my card.
For some reason I'm not that pleased with it, but I can't quite put my finger on why. It's for my daughter's birthday this Friday. Purple's her favourite colour, but I don't have many purple copics (perhaps I'll have to remedy that :)). I think it's possibly too purple with not enough contrast.

I've used some of my new goodies from the Harrogate show....So I did NEED them after all . lol.
I bought the 2 memory box dies, Macarena corner and Catalina wreath. Also used the new postal mark stamps from LOTV.

I chose this image because the bear in it is just like her 1st teddy bear, who is still her best friend even though she'll turn 17!

What a week that was !!

Hi Everyone....

Well what a week last week was!!!   That's the reason I've not posted for so long.

Well a week ago Friday I decided to swap our bedroom for the spare one and decorate it before our new bed came on the Thursday. My parents were coming to stay on that day too so I a very tight schedule to work to.

All was going well until Tuesday afternoon. I had just finished work when I got that dreaded phone call from school. "Your son thinks he's broken his wrist and we've phoned an ambulance"

He certainly had and 'Big Style' too. He had broken both bones in his left wrist and it was at a rather funny angle.
Well it needed an operation to put 3 wires in to hold it in place whilst it mends. So that was Tuesday and Wednesday spent in hospital. Got him home at 6pm and finished decorating at midnight!! Just in time for the bed and my parents the next day.

Friday finished off the week collecting a relative from A&E who had been taken ill earlier in the day.

Good job my Mum and I had booked a workshop with Bev at the Harrogate show. It was just what I needed to  put the woes of the week behind. Craft retail therapy is always a good choice when you need a lift.

We came back with lots of goodies. Can n't wait to have a play. I've already had them in and out of their bags  lots of times just to look at them !!

My son is on the mend although disappointed he can now no longer go on his Swimming Club training camp to Spain :(

I still have my parents staying so I want to spend time with them.

Hoping to catch up and visit some blogs later this week.

Bye for now
Janine xx

Me and My Pony

Good Evening ......

Firstly I'd like to say a big hello to my new followers. Thank you for deciding to follow me and I hope you like what I create.

Today's card is another 50th card. Aaagh...This must mean it's creeping up on me too if I have friends this age.

I've chosen LOTVs Me and My Pony. I've had this stamp for ages but shame on me have never inked it up. I really enjoyed colouring this so I don't think it'll be the last time I use it.

I coloured the large rose myself with copics, white spirit and a spray of perfect pearls mist. I'm quite pleased with the way it's turned out. I'm still experimenting with lots of things because it's all still so new to me.

Here's a close up...

It's definitely too cute not to use again.

I've used the new First Edition papers. They have some lovely designs and  I just couldn't help myself from buying a few of them.....Oops.
