Good morning my crafty friends....

A big hello to all my new followers and a big Thank You to everyone who has chosen to follow my blog. I really do appreciate your support and wonderful comments.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and we're already half way to the next one!

I had a lovely day on Saturday at The Hobby House's 10th Birthday celebrations. It was lovely to see Jill  and meet my fellow teamies. Oh and perhaps a little crafty shopping too!

Well I'm here this morning as we've got a new challenge for you over at Divas by Design and this weeks challenge is a nice and easy one...

Pearls

and we're sponsored this week by Crafty Charlie.

My card today has another Tiddly Inks image, I'm just loving their cute little images at the moment.

This little Tiddly Ink is called Tenderhearted. Isn't she cute!

Well Pearls is the remit for this weeks challenge and I've used lots of pearls and a string of them, all from The Hobby House. They have a wonderful selection of singles in lots of different colours and strings of them too.

The papers are from the gorgeous Maja Road Vintage Spring Basics pad and they've all been distressed with a TH tool and Walnut stain.

Anything Goes Challenge - Buttons, Pearls and Lace

Hello blogging friends...

Hope you had a lovely weekend and managed to get some crafting done.

I'm back today to show you the card I've created for the new challenge over at Anything Goes this fortnight it's...

Buttons, Pearls and Lace

My card features the lovely Drusilla from Tiddly Inks.

I tried to blend the oranges into the yellows, but I'm not sure that I really achieved it. Practice makes perfect so they say, so I shall try again another time, lol. The papers I've used are Prima 'Rondelle'. I'm really loving these Prima papers. They're new to me and I may just have to buy a few more :)

Drusilla has been coloured with copics:-

Skin : E000, E00, E21, E11, R11
Hair : E21, E25, E29
Dress : YR000, YR000, YR02, YR07  Y000, Y11, Y35, Y38

The edges of the image have been distressed with Memento Desert Sand and a small piece of lace added to the right hand side.

The little tag (Doo Hickey Wave) has been finished off with a seam binding ribbon and a clear flower button, which is a bit hard to see in the photo.
Other dies used on the card are DooHickey Dragonflies, Marianne Creatables Garden Branch and Cheery Lynn's Kiwi Doily. The doily punch is so pretty but it never seems to cut properly, even with greaseproof paper.

Hope you can join us for our new challenge. Have a pop on over to the Anything Goes blog for a little inspiration and see what the rest of the team have made.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :-

Bunny Zoe's - Wings
Eureka Stamps - Anything Goes
Tammy's Scrappin' Corner - Anything with Wings
Colour Me Creative - Brunettes
Crafty Calender - Things with Wings

Happy Crafting

Big Hugs,

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Divas by Design. The theme for this week is a nice and easy

'Happy Birthday'

Our sponsor this week is Shape EZ by TLC (with Whimsy Stamps)
The DT got to choose a template to use and I chose the Cherry Cupcake.

I'm really pleased with the results. It's a lovely fun shape and something a little bit different.

The image on the front of the card is Mo Manning's Cupcake Thief. This is the first time I've coloured her and she was fun to do. She's been coloured in my usual Copics.
When I get a little more time (lol) I must give Prismacolors a go. I've only ever used them on small areas over my Copics. There's been a lot of lovely coloured images in Blogland using them.

The papers are First Edition 'Bird Song' and the sentiment is from LOTV Everyday Grungy Messages. I've added a gorgeous selection of flowers from WOC (did you bag a bargain in their 30% off sale?),rhinestones and a satin ribbon and slider from The Hobby House.
The big cherry on the top has been coated with Glamour Dust followed by a liberal coating of Glossy Accents.

The Hobby House - My Introduction

Good morning Blogger friends...

Today over on The Hobby House Blog it's my introduction day.

Still can't believe that Jill and Kate have invited me onto this fabulous new design team. I'm so thrilled! The Hobby House has gorgeous products and I can't wait to inspire you with them.

Over the last few weeks the design team have all been introduced to you. I'm the last. If you've missed the introductions then you can find them on The Hobby House Blog. All the girls are amazingly talented so why not pop on over to their blogs for some inspiration and to see some beautiful projects.

This is one of  three pieces that I made for the DT call.

I made a book card which I've never done before and it was inspired by the lovely Jenny, who also happened to be invited onto the team!

I really enjoyed making this and found a tutorial on youtube. I love that you can find so many helpful tutorials on so many different things.

These book cards make such lovely gifts and I'll definitely be making more and filling them with goodies to give as presents.

The beauty of working with The Hobby House toppers is that you can make your project in a fraction of the time because there's no colouring involved. Great for the busy times and they give such a professional look.

Jill at The Hobby House also has all the matching embellishments from ribbons, brads, pearls and sparklers to gorgeous mulberry flowers. You just know that everything is going to come together beautifully.

Hobby House products used :-

Wee Card Toppers - Bluebell Wood
Hobby House Pearls - Ivory Silk 5mm
Hobby House Sparklers - Rhinestone Chocolate Crystal
Hobby House Mat & Layer Kit - Bluebell Wood
Hobby House Flourishes - Pearl Border Flourish (under butterfly)

The papers are Maja 8th & 10th April and the dies used are Joy Crafts Leaves, DooHickey Leaf and a Woodware butterfly punch.

Don't forget that The Hobby House now has a challenge blog and this month sees our first challenge which is an easy Anything Goes. The first prize picked by randon org is a massive £25 Hobby House Voucher (excludes postage) and the top 3 will hand picked.

I would like to enter my book card into the following challenges:

Father's Day Challenge at Anything Goes

Good morning ....

Today I have a DT card for the challenge over at Anything Goes and for this fortnight our challenge is

Father's Day

It's Father's Day here in the UK on Sunday 16th June so here's the ideal opportunity to show us all those lovely cards you've been making for your Dad, Grandad or the ones you make for your kids to give to Dad.

My card has ended up as a CAS card simply because the image was quite large and lots of twiddly bits just didn't seem right, so all I've done is add a ticket and some rhinestones at the corners. Oh,  and I also added some glossy accents over the windows.

For my card I've used an image from Just Inklined called Fares Please. They have a lovely broad selection of images and quite a few for those tricky male cards.

I went with this more traditional image rather than a cute one. It just seemed a bit more fitting for my Dad.
It should give him a trip down memory lane, lol.

Copics colours used for Fares Please :-

Tyres: C7, C5, C, C1
Chrome: C00, C0, C1, C3
Cream: E50, E55, E57
Beige: E40, E41, E42
Green: G21, G24, G94, G99
Blue Coats: B91, B95, B97, B99

I even googled the advertisements to try and get the right colours for those to make it more authentic.

I'm really looking forward to seeing all your lovely Father's Day cards. Why not pop on over to the Anything Goes Challenge  Blog and have a look at all the wonderful creations from my fellow teamies to give you some inspiration.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Lady Bug Crafts - For the Men in your Life
The Crafting Cafe - Here come the Boys
Craft Lovin - Father's Day
CAS on Sunday - Make It Masculine
My Sherri Crafts - Father's Day
Sweet Stampin - All about Father's Day

Happy Crafting.

Big Hugs,
Janine xx
