Anything Goes - Taking a Break

Hello blogging friends...

My post today should have been for another challenge over at Anything Goes with the challenge of
Altered Art or Tags.

A number of our DT members, however,  have been going through some tough times recently so we have decided to take a break until the New Year.
When we come back  our batteries will be recharged and hopefully we should have some new members on the team too.

I made this Christmas tag for the challenge and would still like to show it to you anyway.

The image is Tilda with arms full of presents. She was stamped with Memento Desert Sand so that I could try the 'No lines' technique. This was much harder than I thought and I'll definitely be looking at some Youtube vids before I try it again.

The papers are First Edition 'Silent Night' and they've been distressed and edged with the usual Walnut stain. I've added some Snowtex to create a bit of texture as well as a more wintery feel.

The dies are : Joy Craft 6002/2021 and 6002/2019, DooHickey So wrapped lovely heart, Spellbinders circles and scalloped ovals.

Copics used :
Skin : E0000, E000, E00, E21, E11, E93
Hair : E21, E25, E29
Hat & Gloves : E40, E41, E43, E44
Boots : E70, E71, E74, E79
Blue outfit : B91, B93, B95, B97

I'd like to enter my tag into the following challenges :

Sweet Stamps - Tags
Magnolia Down Under - Anything Goes

Until next time...

Happy Crafting,

Hobby House Midway Reminder

Good morning to you all....

Can't believe that it's Saturday already. What a busy week it's been too. Only one more week, then it's half term again. We're definitely well on the way to Christmas and lots of snow if the weather man is to be believed.

Anyway, I'm here to give you a little reminder from The Hobby House. You still have time to enter this month's challenge which is another easy one.

That's it! We just want to see some lovely roses on your project.

Remember there's a super prize up for grabs too.

My card today has lot's of roses: on the image, the paper and the mulberry roses too!
I thought this lovely Whimsy stamp - Wee Florist really fitted the challenge. Isn't she gorgeous?
Really enjoyed colouring her, although the hair did push my colouring skills :)
These Whimsy images are adorable and I managed to get a few more from Jill, at The Hobby House, when I was at the Harrogate show.  So you'll be seeing a few more in the coming weeks.

She's been coloured with Copics

Skin : E0000, E000, E00, E21, E11, W1, R20
Jeans : B91, B93, B95, W3
Top : R81, R83, R85, W3, E50, E51, E53, E55
Bucket : C5, C3, C1, C00, E55, E53, E51, E50
Leaves : YG03, YG63, YG67
Shoes : E79, E57, E35, E34, E31
Roses : R32, R35, R46, R59
Grounding : W0, W1, W3
Outline : BG0000, BG000

The papers are a mixture of Nitwits 'Crab Apple' and Prima 'Romance'. The Prima papers are lovely because they provide these cute little envelopes to make, with tickets to go inside. The embellishments are all from The Hobby House : roses, cameo, cameo pendants, Lace, pearl string, pearl flourish and a touch of aged rose frantage. The sentiment is Whimsy Everyday Sayings Notables 4 and the Dainty Notables 4 die also from The Hobby House.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :

Alphabet Challenge - R for Roses
Stamping for the Weekend - Anything Goes
4 Krafty Girlz - Anything Goes
Crafting by Designs - Anything Goes
Paper Pretties - Lots of Embellishments

Hobby House Inspiration

Good morning....

Today it's my turn to offer a little inspiration for the current challenge over at
The Hobby House.

This month's challenge is

The Hobby House are currently offering a 33% discount off their Mulberry Selection Box, which is now retailing at £9.99 for 100 roses.

My card today uses another of those lovely toppers and here's a closer look.

This one is from the Elizabeth Bell Gingerbread wishes topper. I've teamed it with Dovecraft papers from the Back to Basics Christmas pad.

All the edges have been distressed with a TH tool and edged with Walnut stain. I've also added a garden branch die cut from Marianne creatables.

The Hobby House products I've used are :-

Bakers Twine (available in store)

Thanks so much for dropping by and all your lovely comments.

CAS over at Divas by Design

Good morning blogging friends...

Happy Wednesday to you. It's time for another challenge over at Divas by Design.

This weeks challenge is..

Clean and Simple.

We're sponsored this week by 2 Cute Ink.

For my card I used 2 Cute Inks digi image 'Furry Friends'

It was a little out of my comfort zone not to put any embellishments on my card at all, but I'm really pleased with it. Think I may be making a few more, especially when I'm pushed for time.

The papers are First Edition Spring Feast and have been mounted onto dark brown coordinations card.

These cute little 'guys' were coloured with Copics.

Big Cat : E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E93
Box : E29, E25, E23
Little Cat : E30, E31, E33, E34
Grounding : W0, W1, W3
Outline : BG0000

Happy Crafting.
